New five “Sangawasa†buildings which were built for the “bikkhus†at Gajabapura, Monarawewa, Ehetugaswewa, Kambiliwewa and Weherathenna temples located in 62 Division area were declared opened by Hon MP for Hambanthota District and the Chairman of Tharunyata Hetak, Attorney at Law Mr Namal Rajapaksa on 26 May 14.The funds for building materials were provided by the Ministry of Buddha Sasana and Religious Affairs with good deeds. This work of great virtue was done by under the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Competent Authority for Resettling IDP’s in Northern Province Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP ndu psc, and with close supervision of General officer Commanding 62 Division, Brigadier K G D PereraRWPRSPIG. Commanding Officers of 26 SLSR, 11 GW, 9 GR and 9 (V) SLLI played pivotal role and contributed manpower with the proper guidance of respective Brigade Commanders. Hon Governor for Northern Province, Major General (Retd) GA Chandrasiri RWP VSV USP, General officer Commanding 62 Division,Brigadier K G D Perera RWP RSP IG, Commander 621 Brigade, Colonel I H M N N Herath USP psc, Commander 623 Brigade, Colonel R P D U Rajapaksha RWP RSP, all Commanding Officers, Senior Government Servants and residents of the area were present at the occasion.
